Meet your 1500 Ocean Drive Board of Directors:
 |
Harold Rosenbaum - President
Harold and his wife Joyce were among the first unit owners here at 1500. Harold has served on the 1500 Ocean Drive Board of Directors for nine years, in various capacities. In addition to his duties as a Board member, Harold also finds time to run his real estate ventures and custom home theater business in northern New Jersey.

 |
Frank Fiorentino - Vice President
A long-time board member and full-time 1500 resident, Frank’s hobbies have always included community-building: neighborhood associations, co-op boards, and other community organizations. A former teacher, teacher trainer and curriculum writer, Frank and his partner Bill have a true affection for 1500 Ocean Drive which is evident in all they do. They also enjoy travel, the local dining scene and visiting New York to see friends and family.

 |
Michael Lewis - Treasurer
Mike recently sold his business, i.e. operational risk management consulting to community banks. Prior to starting the business, he had a full career serving financial institutions in audit, regulatory compliance, and security in a management capacity. Here since 2006, he and wife Dorian love our building's ambiance and the friendly character of our residents. |
 |
Melinda Berman - Secretary
The most recent addition to the Board, Melinda, and husband Michael were drawn to our building in 2003 because of the friendly feel in an intimate setting. Melinda has enjoyed working as an occupational therapist, serving as a hospital administrator and practicing real estate law. She now advises students in the college admissions process. Melinda savors her time here each year, looks forward to increasing those escapes to SoBe and cherishes the friendships she’s made in our own little community.

Harry Martin - Director
Harry and wife Nicole have owned since the opening of the building. Appreciative of the contrast to their home in Erie, PA, Harry's fond of Miami Beach's excitement. As an attorney, he consults former clients; as an entrepreneur, he invests in and helps run businesses. |
At the May 15, 2006, Board Meeting, the Board unanimously agreed to adopt the following - "1500 Ocean Drive Design Integrity Reaffirmation".
1500 Ocean Drive Design Integrity Re-Affirmation
1500 Ocean Drive – The Michael Graves Building
We live in an architecturally significant building. Many of us have chosen to purchase here largely or partially for this reason. Michael Graves is a world-renowned and highly acclaimed architect and designer with a highly distinctive and noteworthy style, as his numerous professional awards attest.
This Board of Directors reaffirms that, as caretakers of the architectural masterpiece that is 1500 Ocean Drive, all design decisions need to be true to the spirit and vision of Michael Graves’ design. Where Michael Graves and Associates has provided design guidance, we believe that that guidance should be followed as closely as possible. Where no specific guidance has been requested or given, we believe that the spirit of his vision, and the concepts expressed by his choice of materials, colors and forms need to be guidelines for any changes or improvements in our building.
We continue to believe that this not only reflects the desire of the majority of our unit owners but that it is also a prudent decision, which will retain and enhance the individuality and value of our 1500 Ocean Drive now and in the future.
Accordingly, the Board of Directors must formally approve all changes or improvements to common areas.
(Unanimously approved by the Board of Directors, May 2006) |
