CONGRATULATIONS TO THE STAFF AND MANAGEMENT OF 1500 OCEAN DRIVE

1500 Ocean Drive scored 4.51 out of 5 on this year’s annual property inspection, which was done in May 2009. Every year Continental Management inspects all of the properties that they manage here in South Florida and this year 1500 Ocean Drive received its highest score ever! The inspection includes all of the mechanical and electrical rooms, interior and exterior common areas, landscaping, Front Desk, pool, gym, garage and much more. 

We are told that it is very seldom that a building that is not new construction receives a score above 4.5. We thank our staff and management for their dedication and hard work and we look forward to a perfect 5 next year!

Dear 1500 Residents,

As you know from time to time, as your Property Manager, I feel it is important to keep you informed about what’s going on here at 1500 Ocean Drive Condominium.  This is especially important during the summer months when so many of our residents are away and may not be in close touch with what is happening here at 1500.   As always, I welcome your comments and suggestions, and look forward to working together with you to maintain and enhance the high quality of our building.  Don’t forget to check out our web site at 1500oceandrive.com where these update will be posted for you to view at any time.

Here are updates on three recent matters:

New Personnel - Please join me in welcoming Nestor Lainez in his new full-time position at 1500 as our mid-night front desk attendant.  Nestor is replacing Joel Zelaya. Joel left us because he is moving to North Carolina.  We wish Joel the best and look forward to making Nestor feel at home here at 1500.  Stop by the front desk and introduce yourself to Nestor when you get a chance.

Storage Room – I wish to thank the residents that responded to my previous communication about registering all bicycles and removing items from outside of our storage bins.  Please note that either a white decal or a “Michael Graves blue” decal is a proper bicycle registration decal. Bicycles that are not registered cannot be left in our Storage Room and if unregistered bikes are found they will be removed.

Security Entry System - As previously announced our computer system was heavily damaged by the severe storm we had on Friday, June 5, 2009.  Amtel has been working diligently on restoring our entry system, including our garage entrance gate, the beach walk exit gate and the key fob problems for several days.  Although most of the system has been restored the beach gate and garage entrance gate are still not working.  Amtel has placed an order for new communication boards that require replacement due to damage from the storm.  We appreciate your cooperation and understanding while we continue the work to resolve this matter.

Employee Bonuses – In June our 1500 Ocean Drive employees received bonus checks.  This money was in lieu of salary increases and also to thank each of them for their hard work and dedication.  I know from the comments I receive from so many 1500 residents how much you appreciate the great work our staff does and I am pleased to be able to reward them for a job well done!
